in the elevator,
at work,
coming down from the 8th floor,
running late (as usual)
to pick up K.
It has been a rough week and I knew today was
not going to be the day the tide changed when
Kaeden says to me as we are walking out the door this morning
“you coming back home after you drop me off to get changed and
do your hair?”
me: umm no, this is as good as it gets.
K: oh.
